Confirmation in Drumkeeran
Ten local children celebrated the Sacrament of Confirmation on Saturday, 24th March,
in St Brigid’s Church, Drumkeeran.

The children were confirmed by Mgr Michael Cooke, PP of Belturbet, Co Cavan.
In his words to the children Mgr Cooke emphasised the importance of the Holy Spirit’s gifts of Right Judgement and Courage. He told them that, in order to live as true followers of Christ, they will have to make important decisions about what is right thing to do

Parish priest, Fr Alwill, in thanking Mgr Cooke, also thanked the choir leaders, Carmel O’Grady and Clodagh Redican, the principals and teachers of Drumkeeran and Creevelea national schools, the children who participated in the ceremonies and the members of the folk choir. He also thanked the parents for the huge part they’ve played in passing on the values of our faith to their children.
